Fort 5 is part of the Fort bij Vijfhuizen. This historic fort from the UNESCO World Heritage List is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. It is located near Vijfhuizen on the western edge of Haarlemmermeer between Haarlem and Hoofddorp. The Defense Line of Amsterdam was a defense line located 10 to 15 kilometers around the center of Amsterdam.
