About
Behind the Fort lies a very beautiful hidden spot: Buitenplaats Fort 5. Surrounded by nature with the fort in the background.
Officially, the outside area is a terreplein (derived from the Italian terra piana: flat ground). This name is given to the flat terrain inside a bastion, fort, or fortress. There are parapets on the edges to protect the troops. Artillery can be placed on the terreplein.
An outdoor event
From a delicious barbecue, street food to a nice sit-down dinner in the open air. Or a nice drink that turns into a lively party. Plenty of possibilities for a fun event.
There is an event tent with a bar, where you and your guests can enjoy. So, if a drop of rain falls, you will stay nice and dry under the tent.
Tip: Just climb the stairs to the dike and you will have a fantastic view! Truly the most beautiful spot in Vijfhuizen.
