In de Luwte

Between the trees and at the edge of the heath lies In de Luwte at De Hoorneboeg. This former chapel – and for many years also the library of De Hoorneboeg with shelves full of books about philosophy – is a nice, quiet place with a lot of privacy for your group.

Through the conservatory, you enter the largest room – for your day retreat or group session. This room has a beautiful wooden floor with a woven rug. In the large cupboard, meditation cushions and cozy blankets are ready for you. We also have yoga mats, yoga chairs, and regular chairs for you to use. Different setups are possible.

Around the space, there are comfortable chairs and benches for exercises or discussions in smaller groups.

The large windows of the garden doors let in a lot of light, and on nice days, you can open them completely. You then come into the garden – with a terrace – which is very private and can be well used for exercises and assignments. The forest surrounding In de Luwte has beautiful spots that you can integrate into your program, and the hill is nearby. You can walk there in under 2 minutes.

THE CONSERVATORY
This is the place where you enter – a nice, bright space with a large wooden table where everyone can gather. The forest surrounds you, and through the large windows, there is always something to see.

Having a coffee before you start, having lunch together, or if you want to break into groups; the conservatory is a great place for that.

You can make tea and coffee all day long – even a nice latte or espresso.

Past the kitchen block, you come to the restrooms and the spacious wardrobe where you can also store your shoes if you want.

On this side, there is also a garden – larger than at the back – and the large trees around you provide a lot of privacy. Here, you can do exercises on the grass or make a fire at the campfire site. The hill is close by, and through a gate, you can easily reach the heath if you feel like a longer walk.
