With us, the possibilities are as diverse as our range of event spaces. We offer an impressive reception area, a grand theater with 453 seats, and multiple rooms suitable for both small and large gatherings. And it all comes with an international vibe, the elegance of Amsterdam's Golden Age, and state-of-the-art facilities. As lovers of diversity, we open our doors to symposia, congresses, conferences, meetings, events, and parties. Whether you seek a classic ambiance or desire a modern atmosphere – it's all within reach. Welcome your guests in the Marmeren Hall, inspire in the Queen Máxima Room, host a barbecue in the enchanting courtyard, or book the entire venue exclusively for up to 900 guests. Whatever your vision, at our place, every speaker – and guest – naturally finds inspiration. In addition to the conference facilities, KIT also features the splendid café "De Tropen." During the summer, the expansive terrace and the enchanting courtyard are the perfect spots for organizing events, dinners, and barbecues.

Moreover, the Amsterdam Tropen Hotel, on the other side of our lush courtyard, is part of the Royal Tropical Institute. It's convenient and comfortable if you wish to stay after an event or meeting. At the moment, the hotel is closed for renovation until at least 2023.

Furthermore, we are housed in the SDG House: a community of organizations, entrepreneurs, scientists, and NGOs dedicated to working towards the Sustainable Development Goals. If you're looking for a speaker, a sparring partner, or other substantive contributions, we're happy to connect you with relevant parties within the SDG House. This way, we provide you with a top-notch service that prioritizes your needs.

CATERING
The sustainability we're so proud of extends to our kitchen. We utilize seasonal produce from local, sustainable suppliers. Executive Chef Hans Ribbens is a culinary maestro and, of course, can accommodate specific dietary requirements and preferences – whether they are organic, vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. In short: good taste, good vibes.
