Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen

Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the first publicly accessible art depot in the world and is located next to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Museumpark in Rotterdam. In the depot, visitors can see the result of 173 years of collecting. More than 151,000 collected artworks are stored together, arranged and structured in fourteen depot spaces with five climates. Besides the objects, all the work involved in the management and maintenance of a collection can be seen.

The depot has a (literally) stunning exterior and a spectacular interior. When visitors take the elevator to the sixth floor, they are greeted with a special experience. On the roof of the depot, you not only have a panorama over the city, but you will also find restaurant Renilde and hall Coert. Both are located in a green oasis at almost 40 meters high.

Coert can be booked separately for events, but it is also possible to reserve the entire sixth floor exclusively. The capacity can go up to a maximum of 300 guests, making a more extensive program possible. We work with external partners for furniture and decoration, which has the advantage that every event can be organized according to your wishes and taste. This makes each event unique!

The culinary aspect for each event is taken care of by the own kitchen brigade of Renilde. Sustainability plays an important role within the depot, and within the food concept, this translates into the use of as many local and seasonal products as possible. Just like in Renilde, we work with a carte blanche menu for events, allowing the availability of products to determine the menu. Of course, we also offer various beverage packages, lunches, and drinks receptions. 

It is also possible to book a guided tour in the depot during an event. Dressed in a lab coat, you will go into the building with a guide and visit one of the depot spaces. A unique experience that you cannot have anywhere else.
