Welcome to De Bekeerde Suster, where history, culture, and beer come together at the unique location of the Bethaniënklooster, an icon of Amsterdam's beer tradition and heritage. Here, within these historic walls, we honor the past by operating a steam brewery, where exclusive beers are brewed that have been specially developed for our House and our sister cafés.
In our effort to keep the history of the nuns and their commercial activities in this special building alive, we offer a destination that is both unique and unforgettable. The beautiful architecture and rich heritage create an enchanting atmosphere where you can experience the fascinating past of Amsterdam.
At the same time, you can enjoy a selection of specialty beers with us, including some that are lovingly and expertly made right in our own brewery. At De Bekeerde Suster, we invite you to discover the rich cultural tapestry of Amsterdam, while enjoying a delicious glass of beer.
We are open daily: from Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 00:00, and on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 03:00.
