About
The Skûtsje is a Frisian sailboat that was originally used for freight transport over the Frisian lakes and canals, but the Skûtsje at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Loosdrecht-Amsterdam also has a rich history! At this location, and later across the road at the Swingboei, there were parties and celebrations until the 1990s. Van Dijk Sr. had a large shed built at his marina in the 1920s to expand his café. Loosdrecht associations held their annual parties there, among other events. From 1958, Van Dijk became well-known far beyond the borders due to the Loosdrecht Jazz Festivals. Now, the Skûtsje is a monumental hall full of authentic elements!
