About
The Skûtsje is a Frisian sailboat that was originally used for cargo transport over the Frisian lakes and canals, but the Skûtsje at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Loosdrecht-Amsterdam also has a rich history! In this location and later across the road at the Swingboei, there was swinging and partying until the 1990s. In the 1920s, Van Dijk Sr. had a large shed built at his marina to expand his café. Loosdrecht associations held their annual parties there. From 1958, Van Dijk became internationally known for the Loosdrecht Jazz Festivals. Now the Skûtsje is a monumental hall full of authentic elements!
