This bright room on the first floor features a beautiful, 7-meter high glass construction, providing a view of the inner courtyard. The space is also perfect for receptions and dinners.

The Erkerfoyer is an open space, situated in a quiet spot in the building. The room has two buffets, making it ideal for organizing a reception or dinner. We can also set up a presentation arrangement for up to 90 people in this space. This way, you can comfortably present while natural light streams in through the large windows.

Architecture
During performances in the Grand Hall, the Erkerfoyer serves as the reception area. Architect Wim Quist radically departed from the conservative theater architectural style when designing the Schouwburg by rotating the stage of the Grand Hall 180 degrees and lifting it by 7 meters. As a result, our Grand Hall is located at the front of the building, while the reception area is at the back of the building and on the first floor. The Erkerfoyer thus offers a view of the inner courtyard behind the Schouwburg. The Erkerfoyer can be accessed from our main entrance via two large staircases on both sides of the Hall.
