The first energy-neutral event complex in the Netherlands
If there is one venue that epitomizes Next Venue's ambition, it is the Midden Nederland Hallen. Anne: “When opening a new location, we weigh the possibilities of renovation against new construction. We opt for the most sustainable option. The Midden Nederland Hallen is the first energy-neutral event complex in the Netherlands.” Sustainability aspects also play a role in venues located in historic buildings. “We renovate and modernize while never losing sight of the historic character, and we work as circularly as possible. For instance, we acquired an existing greenhouse from the Floriade, which we repurposed to house a restaurant at the Midden Nederland Hallen,” Anne explains.
Always a sustainable choice
The sustainable nature of Next Venue is evident not only in how they (re)build their venues but also in their efforts to make the locations more sustainable by generating their own energy, using heat pumps, and utilizing ground temperature for heating and cooling. Anne: “As a result, some of our venues are energy-neutral and gas-free. Even the historic monuments are surprisingly energy-efficient. We have also made significant progress in reducing transport and waste. For example, we prefer to source from local farmers, bakers, and brewers. Sustainable and flavorful. Next Venue is always a sustainable choice.”

Every Next Venue location has something special. For instance, the castles and farmhouses are perfect for small business meetings. They offer character, along with peace and space. Anne: “How amazing is it to organize a product presentation in the distinctive rooms of a castle? Or to fully utilize the possibilities of the farmhouses and settle down in the garden? De Werelt has a completely different character, but it is just as beloved. The location is beautifully situated in the middle of the forest. We bring the tranquility of nature inside, while encouraging guests to take their meetings and events outside. The venue is perfectly suited for this. De Werelt also has a hotel, ideal for multi-day meetings. Here, you'll find various surprising and unique elements, such as an atelier and a cinema.”
